Pen and ink drawing: deep in a forest, a penguin chick wearing a leaf hat, with tiny wings, sits perched on a mossy fallen log. Mushrooms and fallen leaves at its feet; behind it, trees stretch on like a tunnel. Black-and-white pencil and ink, picture-book style.

Day 8

A Little Fairy Living an Easy, Unhurried Life Deep in the Forest

I wandered into a deep forest. Through a tunnel of trees, on a bed of moss, perched a little shadow. A leaf for a hat, and tiny wings. …A penguin fairy? The one I've been looking for, ever since I was a child. So this is where you've been, living your easy, unhurried life.
